For all users, today and tomorrow

Water has several users: families, agriculture, industry and nature. Join For Water ensures that all the needs of these different users are reconciled.

Any intervention must therefore take into account its effects on the downstream areas, otherwise there is a risk of friction or conflict. If a farmer irrigates his land at the top of the hill, this should not lead to a shortage of drinking water for the lower situated communities.

In addition, consideration must also be given to future generations who will also need water in sufficient quantity and of good quality. Climate change poses a major challenge to ensuring access to water in the future.

In order to achieve a sustainable water policy, we apply the principles of 'Integrated Water Resources Management': we look at the impact of the various water users of, for example, an entire river or catchment.
